| HANOI (3 April 2009) – Vietnam will take on Kuwait in a friendly on 31 May 2009 as part of the national team’s training session for the year.
A squad of 22 players will be expected to be announced soon by Vietnam head coach Henrique Calisto
It’s expected that the squad will be formed ahead of Vietnam’s match against Greek Super League side, Olympiakos, between 5-10 May.
The national team will be in centralized training next month in Hanoi with Calisto expected to name a mix squad of Under-23 and senior players to form the national team.
After leading Vietnam to their first ever AFF Suzuki Cup crown last year, Calisto has been tasked with preparing a squad for the SEA Games in Laos at the end of the year as well as being in charge of the squad for the 2011 Asian Cup qualifiers.
