SAMUT PRAKAN (12 December 2025) – Thailand and Vietnam made a bright start to their respective Group A and Group B campaign of Women’s Futsal at the SEA Games 2025, played at the Bangkok Thonburi University Gymnasium.
Thailand smashed the Philippines 7-1 while Vietnam walked off 3-1 winners over Indonesia.
Regine Rebosora may have given the Philippines the lead in the 11th minute, but Thailand were not about to be undone in front of their home fans, as it took them just a minute later to equalise through Arriya Saetoen.
Paerploy Huajaipetch (14th minute) and Jenjira Bubpha (20th) then put Thailand 3-1 ahead at the break.
It was Thailand all the way in the second half as they heaped four more goals – Sasikarn Tongdee (25th), Suchanat Nakman (29th), Hataichanok Tappakun (33rd) and Saovapha Tranga (34th) – for the well-deserved victory.
In the meantime, Vietnam scored a crucial 3-1 win over Indonesia in Group B.
Following a first-half deadlock, Thuy Trang’s diagonal finish in the 24th minute gave Vietnam the lead as Thanh Ngan then converted a penalty four minutes later to put them comfortably in front.
Phuong Anh then took advantage of Indonesia’s power play for Vietnam’s third in the 38th minute.
Olin Quisepina then scored Indonesia’s lone goal a minute later.
