CHONBURI (12 December 2025) – Vietnam delivered a 2-0 win over Myanmar to win Group B as the Philippines squeezed in as the runners-up to make the semifinals of the SEA Games 2025.
In the decisive match of the group, two early goals from Vietnam’s Ngân Thị Vạn Sự in the eighth minute and Nguyễn Thị Bích Thùy, six minutes later, were enough for them to seal the deal.
With the second full points, Vietnam emerged as Group B winners while Myanmar slipped down to third after the Philippines smashed Malaysia 6-0 to take second spot.
Alexa Marie Troisi Pino (45th, 53rd, and 70th penalty) was on a hat-trick for the Philippines, to be followed by goals from Jessika Rebecca Macayan Cowart, Ariana Markey (85th), and Anicka Chabeli Arrieta Castañeda (90th+6).
