| JAKARTA (1 Jan 2010) – Indonesia will not seek to change their formation ahead of their Group B match of the 2011 Asian Cup qualifiers against Oman on Wednesday at the Stadion Utama Gelora Bung Karno in Jakarta.
Head coach Benny Dolo said that whatever the strategy which will be used on the day, the formation will stay the same as the players are already used to ideals.
“We will still maintain our 3-5-2 or 4-4-2 formation which we have been using all this while,” said Benny.
Benny said that for the match against Oman, the team will have to do without defenders Ismed Sofyan, who was red carded in the last match and Maman Abdurahman, who has picked up two yellow cards.
So as to shore up their defence, the team will utilize two youngsters from the SEA Games 2009 squad and they are Rahmat Latif and Djayusman Triasdi who will play alongside the recall of Ahmad Kurniawan and Christian Worabay back into the team.
