KUALA LUMPUR (16 July 2012) – Malaysia’s number one goalkeeper, Khairul Fahmi Che Mat, received a massive confidence boost ahead of the upcoming matches against the English Premier League clubs and the AFF Suzuki Cup later this year when he was signed by 100PLUS as its Brand Ambassador.
Khairul joins an exclusive group of top Malaysian athletes which includes badminton star Datuk Lee Chong Wei, world-class diving ace Pandelela Rinong and sensational national striker Safee Sali as 100PLUS Brand Ambassadors.

The first campaign featuring Khairul will be the 100PLUS Ramadhan and Raya campaign entitled Sentiasa Cergas Di Bulan Mulia Ini. Speaking at the official launch of the TV Commercial today, Khairul expressed his delight at being selected as 100PLUS as its Brand Ambassador.
“This sponsorship deal is recognition of my efforts as the national goalkeeper and I would like to express my thanks to 100PLUS for believing in me,” said Khairul, who will be joining the national training camp later today in preparation for the forthcoming matches against Arsenal and English champions Manchester City.
These matches are all part of the national team’s preparations for the AFF Suzuki Cup which takes place from 24 Nov to 22 Dec. Malaysia are the defending champions and will be pushing itself to the limit in their quest to retain the prestigious title. For the record, Malaysia will host the Group B matches, which are expected to attract huge crowds for the games against Indonesia and Singapore.
“We have a tough draw with Indonesia, Singapore and one of the qualifiers in our group. We must live up to the 100PLUS spirit of Outdo Yourself in order to defeat our opponents and win the title again,” Khairul said.
