BANGKOK (9 April 2012) – Defending champions Buriram United made it four of four wins in the Thai Premier League 2012 where this week they dispatched
Samut Songkhram FC 3-0 at the Samut Songkhram Stadium. Captain Suchao Nutnum gave Buriram the lead following a penalty conversion before further goals from Frank Acheampong and Sarif Sainui ensured the side from the north east the full points.
With the win, Buriram have picked up 12 points from four matches played to take the lead at the top of the TPL table.
In the meantime, former champions Muang Thong United kept up the pressure at the top when they beat TOT SC 2-1 at home at the SCG stadium with Teerasil Dangda providing the winner four minutes to the end.
Teerasil had earlier given Muang Thong the lead early in the first half only for Prakit Deepromb to find the equalizer for the home team some moments later. The win allowed Muang Thong to remain on second with 11 points from five matches.
Elsewhere, hosts Army United lost their first match of the season as a Dudu hat-trick led Osotspa M-150 to a 3-1 win at the Army Stadium. Pattaya United lost 2-0 to Chainat FC while BEC Tero recorded a close 1-0 win over TTM Chiang Mai on the road.
