| PETALING JAYA (20 Nov 2009) – A two-day FIFA Ticketing Seminar concluded this evening which was held for the benefits of the member countries of the Asean Football Federation.
FIFA consultant Kevan Pipe conducted the seminar which was attended by a total of 22 participants.
“One of the primary concerns of many Member Associations in today’s highly competitive sport and entertainment world is how to effectively create, plan and implement a ticketing programme designed to achieve the dual objective of ensuring full stadiums at whatever football event the MA may be hosting and deriving maximum revenue fro the sale of these tickets,” said Pipe.
“It is the purpose of this seminar to assist those Member Associations and their marketing and ticketing departments to properly plan a comprehensive tickets sales strategy so that all their goals can be fully met.”
The seminar dealt with all the steps which must be taken by the MA Local Organising Committee in planning, creating and implementing a well-designed ticket sales programme, one which is fully integrated within the overall marketing, advertising, public relations and promotional strategies surrounding any championships, match or event.
Among the subjects covered are:
– Fundamental Elements of Fully Integrated and Optimally Structured Event Ticketing Programme
– A Fully Integrated Promotional, Public Relations, Advertising and Marketing Plan
– The Critical Role of Technology – Ticket Sales in 2010 and Moving Forward
– Pricing the Facility
– Critical Success Factors in Successful Ticketing Campaigns

“The expectations is that this seminar will assist FIFA Member Associations in raising their levels of abilities in terms of both selling tickets for football matches being staged as well as deriving maximum possible revenues via the modern systems for ticketing programmes as well as implementing a fully integrated marketing/ ticketing programmes,” he added.
