BANGKOK (13 June 2011) – Bangkok Glass put a dent on Chonburi FC’s title aspiration when they overcame the latter 2-0 in a Thailand Premier League (TPL) 2011 this week at the Leo Stadium.
With current league leaders Buriram PEA pulling away on 42 points from 17 games, the loss to Bangkok Glass has left Chonburi ten points behind albeit still maintaining their position on second.
Against Bangkok Glass, Chonburi found themselves trailing to a Sarayuth Chaikamdee’s strike in the 30th minute before losing the tie altogether from Saruta Hironori’s 73rd minute goal.
Elsewhere, defending champions Muang Thong United picked up another valuable three points with a 2-0 win over Pattaya United at the Yamaha Stadium with goals from Teerasil Dangda (18th minute) and Dagno Siaka (65th).
Si Sa Ket, who upset leaders Buriram last week, had to settle for a 2-2 draw away to Phichit while at the Saraburi Stadium, Osotspa M-150 Saraburi delivered a 2-0 victory over Insee Police United.
Army United won 1-0 away over SCG Samut Songkhram as BEC Tero Sasana defeated TOT SC 3-1.
