BANGKOK (14 Nov 2012) – Thailand were merciless. And tonight, an attack-minded Thai side showed why they should be taken seriously for the AFF Suzuki Cup later this month when they crushed Bhutan 5-0 at the Thai-Japanese Stadium.
Apipoo Suntornpanavej grabbed a personal best with a hat-trick off goals in the 5th, 6th and 29th minute as Napat Thamrongsuphakorn added the other in the 36th minute for Thailand to be comfortably 4-0 in front at the break.
Several substitutions later, saw Bhutan getting more of the possession in the second half as the Thais took their foot off the pedal. The hosts then scored the only goal in the second half through Rattana Petarporn in the 50th minute for the win.
