
BANGKOK (25 December 2025) – It’s heading into a three-horse race into the final dash for the inaugural crown of the ASEAN Under-16 Boys’ Futsal Championship 2025 here at the Nonthaburi Hall in Bangkok.
At the end of the third matchday, Indonesia lead the five-team pack with seven points – the same as second-placed Vietnam.
Both have just one match left to play, where they will each take on Thailand in the next two days.
Host Thailand are third with six points but with two games still to play while Myanmar stand fourth and Brunei Darussalam at the bottom of the standings.
Earlier this evening, Indonesia walked 5-0 over Brunei Darussalam with goals from Alfian Nurhayadi in the seventh minute, Muhammad Faisal Gumilang (11th and 25th), Muh Alfayyadh Rafarrel Haerul (12th) and Muhammad Ibnu Alan (22nd).
In the meantime, Vietnam emerged 5-2 winners over Myanmar.
The score at the break was 4-2 with Vietnam scoring twice through Nguyen Nhu Hoang (sixth and 13th minute), Nguyen Ba Manh (11th) and Phan Trung Nghia (17th).
Nay Lin Phyo nailed a brace (9th and 10th) for Myanmar.
A fifth goal from Phan Van Phat (33rd minute) ensured Vietnam their second full points.
