SAMUT PRAKAN (14 December 2025) – There were no surprises in the final group matches of Women’s Futsal at the SEA Games as both Thailand and Vietnam picked up easy wins to take the groups.
Thailand crushed Malaysia 6-0 to win Group A as Vietnam outplayed Myanmar 4-2 to take Group B in the rounds of matches at the Bangkok Thonburi University Gymnasium.
The Thais were on target through Jenjira Bubpha in the 11th minute, Darika Peanpailun (17th and 31st), Sangrawee Meekham (23rd), Ariyya Saetoen (27th), and Paerploy Huajaipetch (34th) for Thailand to stay perfect with the full six points as group winners
In the meantime, Vietnam did not have the best of start when it was Myanmar who grabbed the lead through Ei El Kyaw’s angled finish in the 11th minute.
It took a while, but Vietnam finally equalised six minutes later through Phuong Anh’s freekick before adding a second a minute later for the 2-1 lead at the break.
Following Myanmar’s equaliser in the 27th minute, Vietnam then pushed forward for Dat Rin to restore the 3-2 lead in the 34th minute as Bui Thi Trang sealed the win moments later.
In the Women’s Futsal semifinals on Tuesday, Vietnam will be up against the Philippines, while Thailand will take on Indonesia.
