CHONBURI (4 December 2025) – Thailand whitewashed Indonesia 8-0 as they rode on a hat-trick from Jiraporn Mongkoldee for their superb start to their Group A SEA Games 2025 at the Chonburi Stadium earlier this evening.
By the time the 27-year-old striker scored her first goal from the penalty spot in the 50th minute, host Thailand were already 4-0 up at the end of an exhilarating first half.
Youngster Gea Yumanda did not have the best start to her SEA Games experience this year when the 19-year-old Indonesian gave Thailand the lead with an own goal in the eighth minute.
The Thais were not waiting for a second invitation when they duly added three more goals through Pattaranan Aupachai (21st minute), Silawan Intamee (27th) and Saowalak Pengngam (44th) for the healthy lead at the break.
After Jiraporn’s first goal five minutes into the second half, the Udon Thani native then completed her hat-trick with a second penalty in the 52nd minute and then a finish from close at the hour mark.
Thailand’s other goal was scored by Panitha Jiratanaphibun in the 55th minute to give the home team the well-deserved win and the first three points in the group.
