NONTHABURI (19 December 2025) – Indonesia delivered an upset 6-1 win over Thailand in their final round-robin tie to lift the Men’s Futsal crown at the SEA Games 2025 here today at the Nonthaburi Sports Complex Gymnasium.
It was a bad day at the office for Thailand when they found themselves falling behind with a Firman Adriansyah goal in the 13th minute, before Syaki Saad doubled the advantage for Indonesia four minutes later.
With a 2-0 lead, Indonesia entered the second half brimming with confidence, as they added to their tally through Samuel Eko in the 23rd minute, Rizky Amanda (28th), and Adiansyah Nooh (35th).
Even though Krit Aran Sanyalak managed to narrow the gap for Thailand in the 37th minute, there was no stopping Indonesia from taking the win with Adiansyah’s second and their sixth goal of the game two minutes later.
With the three points, Indonesia emerged as champions of the Men’s Futsal, with nine points, the same as Thailand, but on better goal difference.
Malaysia came in third for the bronze medal after Vietnam could only muster a 4-2 win over Myanmar, which saw them complete their campaign fourth.
In the match against Myanmar, Nguyen Da Hai scored a double (25th and 33rd minute) for Vietnam to be followed by goals from Trinh Cong Dai (36th) and Yu Ngoc Anh (38th).
Myanmar’s goals were scored by Min Khant Thu in the 31st minute and Naing Linn Tun Kyaw (40th).
