
NONTHABURI (15 December 2025) – Thailand and Indonesia scored crushing wins in the opening matches of the Men’s Futsal at the SEA Games 2025 that were played today at the Nonthaburi Sports Complex Gymnasium.
Thailand blasted Malaysia 7-1 as Indonesia plundered Myanmar 5-1.
Thailand had a hat-trick (12th, 20th and 37th minute) from Muhammad Osamanmusa leading the way for Thailand as the rest of the goals were scored by Worasak Sriharangpairoj in the first very first minute of play, Chaowala Sriawut (7th), Athipong Munplai (38th) and Ronachai Choongwongsook (38th).
Mohammad Alwaluddin scored the only goal for Malaysia in the 12th minute.
In the meantime, Indonesia were also in dominant form when it took them just two minutes to carve open the lead through Israr Megantara.
A brace from Iqbal Iskandar (in the eighth and ninth minute) put Indonesia comfortably 3-0 in front as Min Khant Thu’s tenth minute effort narrowed the gap to 3-1 at the break.
Realising the importance of goal difference in the round-robin competition, Indonesia added two more goals after the break through Rizki Xavier (32nd minute) and Syauqi Saud (39th).
