
HANOI (23 November 2025) – Vietnam Under-22 head coach Kim Sang-sik has announced a training squad of 28 players in preparation for the 33rd SEA Games next month.
The team has been developed over the past year, with not only the SEA Games 2025 in mind but also the 2026 AFC U23 Asian Cup in Saudi Arabia.
The team had played in high-quality competitions such as the CFA International Football Tournament, which featured top U22 teams from Asia, including Uzbekistan, Korea and China.
The squad also won the ASEAN U23 Championship 2025, beating host Indonesia 1-0 in the final.
For the SEA Games 2025, Vietnam are in Group B, facing Laos on 4 December 2025, and then Malaysia on 11 December 2025.
