VIENTIANE (2 July 2015) – Lao Toyota FC kept their hopes of winning their first ever Lao Premier League alive with a 4-0 thrashing of Ezra FC to keep pace with leaders SHB Vientane FC.
With basement side winning only one match in eight matches, Lao Toyota made sure of the full points off a double from Kazuo Homma in the 12th and 15th minute to be followed by further goals from Sayoulasouk in the 43rd minute and Xaysongkham Champathong (69th).
With the win, Lao Toyota moved up to fourth with 14 points – seven adrift of leaders SHB Vientiane.
But Lao Toyota have played only seven games so far as compared to SHB Vientiane’s ten matches.
On second is Lanexang United with 20 point from nine matches while third is Hoang Anh Attapeu wit 15 points also from nine matches played.
And this week, Hoang Anh Attapeu fell off the wagon when they conceded a 5-4 loss to Eastern Star FC.
Mid-table side Eastern FC had a hat-trick from Khounsombath Phommaxay to thank when he found the back of the net in the first, 53rd and 68th minute. The remaining goals for Eastern Star came off Kittar Sisavard in the 39th minute and Oguwike Noubulsi in the 61st minute.
Attapeu’s goals were scored by Amixay Kettavong in the sixth minute, Sopha Saysana (19th and 82nd minute) and Vilayouth Xayyabounxou (67th).
