BUKIT JALIL (15 December 2025) – Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT) continued their domination of domestic football when they hauled in their fifth Malaysia FA Cup title after beating Sabah 5-0 last night at the National Stadium in Bukit Jalil.
A Jonathan Silva header from an Oscar Arribas free kick early in the seventh minute set the pace for JDT before two quick goals sometime later rattled Sabah’s confidence.
An own goal from Rawilson Batuil in the 19th minute shattered Sabah, as Jairo da Silva then extended the lead to 3-0 for JDT three minutes later.
Things got worse for Sabah just five minutes into the second half when Miguel Cifuentes was ejected for his second yellow card offense.
Aribas nailed the fourth goal for JDT in the 64th minute as Manuel Hidalgo then put the finishing touch deep in injury time (90th+4).
JDT’s victory was their fifth FA Cup crown following earlier wins in 2016, 2022, 2023 and 2024/25.
