JOHOR BAHRU (8 September 2025) – An early strike from Joao Figueiredo gave Malaysia a well-earned 1-0 win over Palestine in the friendly that was played tonight at the Sultan Ibrahim Stadium.
The 29-year-old forward’s fine finish off a cross from Quentin Cheng in the third minute was enough for Malaysia to pick up their second friendly win in less than a week.
Palestine tried hard to find the equaliser in the second half, but it remained elusive as the score stayed all the way to the end.
