BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN (8 Jan 2013) – A hat-trick from Mohamad Azwan Ali Rahman pushed Indera Sports Club to the top of the Bruneo DST Super League when they crushed Liang Lumut Recreational Club Football Team (LLRC FT) 5-1.
Azwan put Indera in front in the very first minute of play off a through ball from Mohd Khayrun Salleh before LLRC grabbed the equaliser on 15 minute through Mohd Amirul Jafrey.
But Azwan was not finished from the night when he slotted the second goal in the 23rd before scoring his third with just a minute left of the first half. The score at the break was 3-1 to Indera.
Indera then wrapped things up with their fourth and fifth goal of the game off Hamizan Aziz and Mohd Nurikhwan in the 47th and 84th minute respectively.
“I am happy that I managed to help my team to win,” said Azwan. “I scored three goals in the game but it does not matter, as long as we get three points I am very happy.
“I also think that it is important to score as many goals as possible as the other teams are doing well in the competition.”
