BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN (8 August 2025) – The new season of the ASEAN Club Championship Shopee Cup™ gets under way this week with the Qualifying Round Play-Offs, which will feature four ASEAN national league champions vying for the final two spots in the group stage of the 2025/26 tournament.
The match-ups, which were determined during the Official Draw in Bangkok in July, will see Brunei Super League champions Kasuka FC facing Philippines Football League Finals Series winners DH Cebu FC in Play-Off 1, and Lao League 1 champions Ezra FC taking on Myanmar National League champions Shan United FC in Play-Off 2.
The schedule for the Qualifying Round matches, which will be played over two legs, is as follows:

The winner of Play-Off 1 will be placed in Group A with defending champions Buriram United of Thailand, 2024/25 runners-up Công An Hà Nội FC of Vietnam, BG Pathum United of Thailand, Malaysian giants Selangor FC and Singapore Premier League side Tampines Rovers FC.
The Play-Off 2 winner will play in Group B with four ASEAN national league champions – Johor Darul Ta’zim of Malaysia, Nam Định FC of Vietnam, Lion City Sailors FC of Singapore and Cambodia’s PKR Svay Rieng FC, as well as Thai League 1 runners-up Bangkok United FC.
