HANOI (1 April 2026) – Vietnam head coach Kim Sang-sik was pleased with the performance of his chargers, where their 3-1 win over Malaysia last night ensured them their win of Group F with the perfect 18 points from six matches played.
At the Thien Truong Stadium in Ninh Binh, Do Duy Manh gave Vietnam the lead after six minutes, as Nguyen Xuan Son then followed it up with a double (51st and 59th minute).
Endrick Dos Santos scored Malaysia’s only goal with a penalty in the 76th minute.
“It was a well-deserved victory for the team. The atmosphere at Thien Truong Stadium was one of the most memorable experiences I’ve had,” said Sang-sik.
“The coordination between Xuan Son and Hoang Hen was clearly effective.”
