BANGKOK (6 December 2025) – Malaysia staged a fabulous fightback to beat Laos 4-1 to take the lead in Group B of the SEA Games 2025 here at the Rajamangala Stadium.
Bounphaeng Xaysombath served a shocker early in the fourth minute when he fired Laos in front.
However, Haykal Danish drew level for the Malaysians in the 35th minute, for both teams to be back on level at the half.
Haqimi Azim then gave Malaysia the lead for the first time in the game in the 59th minute before Moses Raj put them 3-1 in front three minutes later.
Muhammad Abu Khalil then rounded off a fine evening for the Malaysians right at the end (90th minute) for the full points.
