SINGAPORE (13 March 2026) – Balestier Khalsa continued on their recent run of good form with a third consecutive win over Tanjong Pagar United in a rescheduled Women’s Premier League (WPL) fixture originally slated for 13 March. The result lifts Balestier two places up the table into third — a significant improvement for a side that had spent the previous two seasons near the bottom of the standings.
Balestier found the breakthrough just four minutes into the game when captain Sharifah Nur Amanina delivered a cross for Svea Hertzman. Hertzman’s effort struck the post and the rebound fell kindly to Ariel, who finished into an open net for her first goal of the season. Hertzman then got on the scoresheet herself in the 17th minute with a powerful strike to double Balestier’s advantage.
