BANGKOK (16 April 2008) – Chonburi FC gave up their place at the top of the Thai Premier League 2008 to BEC Tero Sasana in spite of their close 1-0 win over Provincial Electric the previous week.
Although BEC Tero are at the top of the standings, both teams are on the same 15 points with BEC Tero having played a game more with eight matches. BEC Tero made sure that they moved up to the top of standings based on their impressive 3-0 away win over Customs Department and where they will be expected to continue to dominate for yet another week considering that they will be up against mid-table Chula Sinthana at home in three days. Chonburi on the other hand will have a testing time protecting their still undefeated record when they travel to Osotspa M150 – the team which are currently occupying the fourth spot at the table.
