VIETNAM THE FIRST TO ARRIVE IN PHUKET  
 

PHUKET (3 Dec 2008) – Vietnam were the first team to arrive into Phuket for the AFF Suzuki Cup 2008 when they checked into the Phuket International Airport via Singapore late last night.

The coastal city of Phuket is the venue for Group B of the AFF Suzuki Cup where Vietnam will be up against hosts Thailand, Malaysia and Laos.

Thailand and Malaysia will be flying in tomorrow morning while Laos will be travelling by road from Bangkok.

All the teams are housed in one of the bigger hotels in Phuket at the Royal Phuket City Hotel.

The venue of the Surakul Stadium is a mere 15 minutes and where the local government are already gearing up for what is the biggest competition they have ever hosted.

The FA of Thailand (FAT) have already chosen three training grounds for the four competing teams who will be here for the next week.

And they are Sapan Hin Training Field, FIFA Training Field and Baan School Football Training Field.

The team manager's meeting will be on 5th Dec 2008 a day before the first match day in the group while teams will only be allowed to train at the Surakul Stadium if weather permits.
