WE HAVE PLANS TO BEAT THAILAND: BENNY

BANGKOK (19 Dec 2008) – Indonesia will have some surprises in store for Thailand tomorrow night although head coach Benny Dolo is all cagey as to what he has planned for the return leg semi-finals of the AFF suzuki Cup 2008.

Indonesia are looking to overturn a 1-0 deficit from the first leg they suffered in Jakarta as they look to turn the tables on the hosts.

Benny said that he will be expecting a full crowd and where he hopes that Indonesia can do enough to cause an upset.

"I know that everyone is already talking about a Singapore-Thailand final but they should realized that they still have to get past us tomorrow," said Benny.

"I admit that it will be very difficult for our team as we will be playing the second leg in the home of Thailand (Stadium Rajamangala) but I believe that with the right attitude, we can do anything.

"After all, in football anything can happen."

Benny said that while the mental toughness of the players in the match will be of utmost consideration, he also felt that it is mental preparation before the game which should also be considered.

He said that Indonesia should not go into the game with a defeatist attitude where they should look to just win the match against the Thais.

"We have our plans on how to beat Thailand although I can't reveal just what that will be," added Benny.

"But I think that if we have the right fighting spirit then we can overcome the odds of beating Thailand in Bangkok.

"I hope that the players will look into this one game as the most important match of their lives. Certainly, the Indonesian fans deserve nothing less."
